Join creative lighting master Lindsay Adler as she opens up an entirely new world of lighting and shares her favorite creative techniques. Gels, grids, and unusual modifiers — you’ll find it all here. High key, low key, dramatic, or glowing light — there is a wide range of light styles to fit whatever mood you want to bring to life with your lighting.

Lindsay will teach multiple styles of lighting and modifier set- ups. Learn to create everything from a soft and dreamy look to a film noir inspired look. This hands on workshop will cover the most valuable lighting setups being used in studios today, all delivered in a clear, simple to understand method.

9:00 – Understanding your tools: modifier choice for essential to unusual
9:45 – light magic, using ordinary modifiers in extraordinary ways
10:30 – Different modifiers and their uses
12:00 – Break
13:00 – Gels, mixing constant light and studio strobe
17:00 – Wrap up

Requirements:

You will need a camera and ideally one or two zoom lenses. Lindsay will be using a 24-105mm and a 70-200mm. You should know (be familiar and comfortable with) your camera gear.

It is recommended that you have a basic understanding of lighting.
